Global Electrical Equipment manufacturer Schneider Electric approached Advanced Lighting Technology to provide a lighting proposal for their large manufacturing facility in Leeds. 

Advanced Lighting Technology undertook a detailed lighting survey of the facility and in turn produced a full lighting proposal. 

The existing lighting comprised of high level 250 watt discharge Hi-Bay type luminaires which were supplemented at low level with task lighting mounted near the manufacturing workbenches. 

Advanced Lighting provided a proposal to replace the high level Hi-Bay luminaire with our modern and extremely energy efficient Econobay luminaire. The Econobay luminaire incorporates modern electronic control gear, a specially manufactured MIRO 4 reflector and is supplied fitted with Phillips T5 73w ECO long life lamps which last for 30,000 hours. 

As the Schneider facility in Leeds has a lot of roof lights we also suggested that the Econobay would be provided with digital dimming control gear which could harness the daylight though daylight sensors and would automatically dim the electronic control gear to a minimum of 1% which in turn reduces the energy consumption of the luminaire. 

Schneider where impressed with the proposal that we produced and placed an order for 320 of our Econobay luminaires with digital dimming control gear. 

As we write the job as you will be able to see in the photograph is currently being installed and the photograph shows the old lighting to the left of the picture and the new lighting to the right. 

Schneider Electric are delighted with the scheme so far, the quality of light has dramatically improved and the low level task lighting is being removed as it is no longer required. 

Once complete it is hoped that energy costs will be reduced by 50% and subsequently Co2 emissions will similarly be reduced by 50%
